| Surfing Injuries
When surfing on Friday, I got off a wave and caught my board with one arm to prevent it from going too far away from me (even though I had a leash on too). Immediately afterwards, a wave took my board, and my arm actually popped out of its shoulder socket... but not painfully. At the same time, my back pinched a little, but not really painfully either. I pushed my shoulder back into place, and didn't think much of it.
A few hours later, my shoulder started feeling like I had tendonitis. Oh well... My lower back, butt, and leg felt a little tingly but I thought they were just cold since I hadn't used a wetsuit. It turns out that I have sciatica. So walking around is a lot more comfortable for me than sitting. Lying on my back is out of the question due to discomfort.
I think the worst part about this is that Allan just installed the surf rack for my car, and I wanted to surf every day this week. This sciatica puts me nearly on bedrest. Booooooo!!!
